How much fun! The Royal Opera House's The Magic Flute. Fantastical, magical and Gothic plot, I'm just here for Papagano! and the puppet bird =) The singing is beautiful and fair play to the chorus embodying both the terrors of water and fire. I think the Queen of the Night gets a raw deal, especially given her impressive vocals. Love how the glockenspiel sets everyone, especially enemies, dancing in a twinkly musicbox kind of way! Everybody minuet now!

Also Papagena's arrival into Papageno's life in a bed like a chariot on the clouds, surrounded by heaps of children - Papageni! and exiting with a pillow fight =) And the ending! Impressive sun backdrop!
